Julie Ashkenazi, MS, BCBA, LBA
I use research methodologies and lived experiences to study the impact of behavioral interventions on learners and families in order to promote better, more neuroinclusive ABA practices and strengthen the relationship between the autistic and behavior analytic communities.
Julie holds a B.A. from Dominican University and an M.S. in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) from Endicott College, where she completed her degree with a concentration in autism. Based in Los Angeles, she is an independent behavior analyst with Synthesis Behavior, dedicated to compassionate, neurodivergent-affirming care. Her clinical work focuses on conducting behavior assessments to support learners in educational settings and collaborating with parents and school teams to advocate for effective, individualized support. Julie also serves as an Adjunct Assistant Instructor at the University of North Texas and as a Research Consultant at the Center for Autism Advocacy: Research, Education, and Supports (CAARES) at SUNY Empire State University. She is an active member of several professional organizations, and her research interests include autism, ethics, and service quality.
